Haringey Giving wants to support low income families within Haringey where children are experiencing food poverty following the government’s recent decision about free school meals. We know that many of our local communities and organisations are responding proactively – and we need funding to help target that support best.

Funds raised have been released quickly to local projects which are providing food to children, young people and their families and to schemes which are addressing the causes of food poverty too.

We were able to give out food parcels to over 100 children covering 4 days of the holiday – as most of our schools went back today. It made a huge difference with many mothers leaving with tears in their eyes.

Haringey Giving is working with local statutory and community partners in order to avoid duplication and ensure that a wide reach is achieved across our borough's diverse communities. This initiative is part of our wider Haringey COVID-19 Appeal and is part of a co-ordinated local response to COVID-19.

Please give generously to our emergency campaign – funds raised will be used specifically to support children and young people who are unable to access free school meals during this half-term and to supplement food provision more sustainably over the coming months for low income families, covering Christmas and Easter holidays too.

Please share the appeal widely using the social media buttons on this page. You can sign up to our regular newsletter below in order to receive updates on how donations are being used to support children experiencing food poverty in our borough.
