Thanks to National Lottery players, The National Lottery Community Fund has awarded £150,000 to Haringey Giving, which is administered by the Bridge Renewal Trust. The funding will be used to deliver activities specifically aimed to support communities through the COVID-19 crisis to further realise equality, diversity and inclusion ambitions locally.

The announcement comes on the back of a successful launch of Haringey Giving Week between 30 November and 6 December, which raised over £27,000 and will become an annual giving event in Haringey.

This year Haringey Giving has raised over £227,000 to support vulnerable people and communities impacted the hardest by COVID-19. A total of 59 vital community support projects have already been funded by the initiative since its launch just over a year ago.

'We are delighted that the National Lottery Community Fund are enabling us to provide more vital support Haringey communities through the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. We look forward to distributing this welcome funding to grass roots community support organisations in our borough over the coming weeks.’ Julia Slay, Chair of Haringey Giving

Funding will be distributed via Haringey Giving’s ‘Together We Can COVID-19 Fund’ which is currently open for applications until 15 January 2020.
