Following the Government’s recent decision not to continue to fund free school meals during the autumn half-term week, there has been a heightened media and public awareness of child food poverty across the UK and we know that many communities and organisations are responding proactively to this crisis.

Haringey Giving is responding by opening an emergency appeal to support low income families within Haringey who are experiencing food poverty. This initiative is of our wider Haringey COVID-19 Appeal and funds raised will be used specifically to support children and young people who are unable to access free school meals during this half-term period, and during the coming winter period.

Funds raised will be released quickly to local projects who are providing food to children, young people and their families. Haringey Giving is working with local partners in order to avoid duplication and ensure that a wide reach is acheived across our borough's diverse communities.

Please donate what you can - no amount is too small.

Please do share the appeal widely using the social media buttons on this page and sign up to our regular newsletter to receive updates on how donatinos are being used to support children experiencing food poverty in our borough.
