Haringey COVID-19 Appeal Wishlist

Many people in Haringey are unable to access urgent supplies to meet their basic needs due to the COVID-19 crisis. People experiencing disadvantage are hugely affected as items out of stock in shops and supermarkets and or emergency supplies may have not arrived yet. Communities and agencies are working together to secure and distribute items, but donations are needed urgently to help fill gaps when emergency supplies have not yet arrived.

So we have created a 'wishlist' on Amazon with a list of the items that we are struggling to get hold of.

Who will benefit from the Wishlist?

The Haringey COVID-19 Appeal Wishlist has been set up to enable the public to donate items directly via Amazon to fill emergency gaps in supply to our most vulnerable residents.

People in Haringey who are unable to access supplies for their basic needs due to the COVID-19 crisis include babies, women and girls, older people, families on low incomes, homeless people, refugees and migrants.

Items on the Wishlist are being updated constantly and may include:

  • Formula baby milk - without this, babies may become unwell or need hospital treatment.
  • Nappies – without clean nappies, babies may develop severe rashes and infections.
  • Sanitary towels and tampons – without these the health and wellbeing of women and girls may be seriously impacted.

How do I donate an item on the Wishlist?

It is simple and easy to donate:

1. Open the Haringey COVID-19 Appeal Wishlist and click ‘Add to Basket’ to donate an item(s)

2. ‘Proceed to checkout’ and choose the Haringey COVID-19 Appeals Gift Registry Address under ‘other addresses’ and under 'delivery instructions', please ask them to deliver to the 'West Gate'

3. Complete your transaction

What will happen to the items I have donated?

Items donated will be delivered by Amazon to a central collection point in Haringey. They will then be distributed to communities and agencies supporting our most vulnerable people, for example, through door-to-door deliveries to people who are self-isolating.

How else can I help?

Haringey Giving has set up the Haringey COVID-19 Appeal in order to raise at least £50,000 to help our most vulnerable people and support community initiatives in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
