Why we exist

We want to inspire and enable Haringey's residents, communities, businesses and funders to give their time, talents and funds to support good causes in our borough.

Our Vision

An equal and inclusive Haringey where all people live fulfilled lives.

Our Mission

To increase opportunity and wellbeing in Haringey by enabling residents to work with others and take action on the issues that matter to them.

Our Activities

We have three main areas of activity:

  • Generating and helping people raise funds and in-kind donations to enable people to take action on the things that matter to them
  • Grant giving to support our outcomes
  • Enabling people and businesses to give their time and skills in the borough.

Our priorities

We have identified our priorities on the basis of local insight and recent data from residents, communities and public sector agencies operating across Haringey:

Priority 1: Children and young people with reference to community safety, knife and gun crime

Priority 2: Mental health including people experiencing social isolation

Priority 3: Skills and enterprise with reference to people living in Haringey who are refugees or from migrant communities

Our grants

Haringey Giving has secured initial funding to distribute as grants against each of our priorities under two programmes:

  • Changing Lives - micro-grants of £10 to £500 which enable people to take a step or make a change or transition that will improve their quality of life or life chances.
  • Together We Can - small grants of £500 to £10,000 for up to two years, enabling people to work together in informal groups who may find it difficult to access mainstream funding.

The Together We Can grant programme has been adapted to support community responses to the COVID-19 crisis.
