We want to thank the staff and teachers at the four Primary Schools in West Green ward, Tottenham for all their work during lockdown and the COVID pandemic.

Haringey Council has teamed up with Trees for Streets whereby residents can sponsor trees to be planted in their neighbourhood.

So not only will you be thanking school staff but you’ll be helping plant more trees in Tottenham so everyone can have cleaner air.

We’re hoping to raise £1,500 to plant 6 trees, one close to each Primary School

They are (in alphabetical order)

  1. Belmont Infant School
  2. Belmont Primary School
  3. Harris Primary Academy Philip Lane
  4. The Brook School
  5. The Grove School
  6. The Willow Primary School

If we raise more, we will request further trees will be planted where they’re needed most in the ward.

Each tree costs £250, this will pay for the digging, planting and watering of the tree.

We recognise times are hard and £250 is a lot of money, which is why we felt crowdfunding would be better - this way everyone can contribute what they can afford.

You could donate £3, £10, £20 or as much as you are able

Or you could do a mini - fundraiser and donate the proceeds? Every pound counts!

The plaque at each tree will state it is a thank you from the community.

All funds go through the Haringey Giving platform and then directly to Trees for Streets to provide trees in the West Green ward.

Thank you very much for your support

Cllr Seema Chandwani, Cllr Mahir Demir and Cllr Sarah Williams
