Together We Can

Together We Can is the second of our funding streams which aims to enable local people and community organisations to come together to take action and make improvements on the things that matter to them.

About the Together We Can fund

Local people and communities often experience significant issues and challenges that impact on their quality of life, their life chances and prevent them from living fulfilled lives. Together We Can has been established to enable people from across Haringey's diverse communities to come together to take action on what matters to them. From an informal group of local residents to a community group or registered charity, this new funding aims to help people work together to break down barriers and make improvements across our borough.

Who will be able to apply?

Applications for the Together We Can fund will be accepted from a range of different groups and organisations including:

  • informal groups of local people who are coming together to take action on a shared issue
  • local community groups
  • not-for-profit organisations, unregistered and registered charities who support people and communties living in Haringey.

What are the criteria?

We are keen to support projects which meet the following criteria:

  • projects must meet with one or more of the three Haringey Giving priorities.
  • applicants must be able to answer the following questions:
    • What is the opportunity?
    • Will this bring different groups together?
    • What can we shine a light on by funding this project?
    • How would we measure the success of this?
    • Can it be done without Haringey Giving?
    • Are there any gaps?

A full list of criteria will be published in the autumn of 2019.

How much funding can be applied for?

Grants from the main programme will be availble between £500 and £10,000 over a two year period.

When will funding be available?

We are currently piloting the main Together We Can programme with a small number of initiatives and are fundraising to widen out the programme and increase the number of projects funded in future rounds.
