We know that COVID-19 is having a devastating effect on many parts of our Haringey community:

• Tottenham has one of the highest rates of furloughed staff in the UK
• Over a third of all jobs in Haringey are estimated to be at risk
• The number of Universal Credit claimants has more than doubled
• There has been a huge impact on many people's mental health and wellbeing
• Many people are experiencing isolation and digital exclusion, making it difficult to access much needed support
• Children whose education has been disrupted and who are living in overcrowded housing have had additional barriers to learning. Haringey includes some of the most overcrowded constituencies in the UK.

We are committed to working with our community organisations over the Christmas period and beyond to support those most affected.
