As Haringey Giving progresses to the next stage in its development, we are looking to bring in additional skills to the Board, to help us move from operational activities towards a fully strategic, governance role.

Our current Chair, Julia Slay, has led our Board successfully, navigating Haringey Giving through the set-up phase and its early stages and enabling us to build a strong foundation for our future development. Julia will be stepping down as Chair this year.

Are you?

A Haringey resident who has the vision, creativity and integrity, the passion and commitment to enable Haringey Giving to achieve its vision as the go-to mechanism to 'give local' and improve the lives of residents and communities in our borough?

A strong team player who can lead strategic approaches to support organisational growth, transition and development?

A good listener with the ability to understand and navigate through complex and sensitive issues, speaking your mind and acting as an excellent ambassador for Haringey Giving with our stakeholders and partners?

Could you?

Lead, inspire others and bring strategic direction to the initiative?

Engage at senior level and enable Board members to contribute effectively, working with the Board and Director to shape the forward strategy for Haringey Giving?

Support Haringey Giving to shift into a more strategic space and work with the board to develop a long-term plan for the initiative, working closely with the Vice Chair and the Director in order to maintain an overview of Haringey Giving’s work and finances?

We want to hear from you

We want to increase the diversity of the Board and are specifically aiming recruit residents who have lived experiences of the issues and priorities we are seeking to address through our activities.

We will provide a full induction, so you will need no previous experience of chairing an organisation.
