Setting up your own fundraiser is quick, easy and gives you the flexibility to support the local community in a way that suits you.

What’s in it for pupils?

School fundraising initiatives provide an opportunity for pupils to learn about important causes and different ways they can take action. Fundraising for Haringey Giving Week 2023 will provide pupils with the opportunity to:

• Develop their team building skills
• Enhance their communication skills
• Build community support and involvement at school

• Have fun! – pupils are more likely to engage if the event or fundraising idea is entertaining
• Give recognition to everyone involved
• Ensure its easy and affordable for pupils to take part – not all activities should be centred on raising money but also on connecting with the cause

Fundraising ideas

There are so many exciting and challenging ways to raise funds and make a real impact for communities in Haringey. Some ideas include: 

• Take part in a sporting challenge – compete as a class
• Organise a raffle 
• Host a quiz night
• Sponsored read-a-thon

Getting the message out

• Make posters to let your community know your supporting Haringey Giving
• Run an assembly during the Haringey Giving Week (29 November - 6 December 2023) to kick off fundraising 
• Share your progress in the school bulletin, newsletters and on social media.
