The Alleviate Fund The second wave of the 2nd round of the Alleviate fund will support Haringey based community and voluntary groups and organisations to deliver early help activities across four priority areas. The aim and objectives of the fund The Alleviate fund supports Haringey based community and voluntary groups and organisations to deliver early help activities across four priority areas. The fund is administered and managed by Haringey Giving on behalf of London Borough of Haringey’s Early Help Service. The fund uses money from the UK Government’s Department for Education’s Family Hubs Programme. The fund complements other early help and family hubs work in the borough. Decisions about who will receive funding will be made by a group of local people, recruited through an open call. Who? Early help work is for children and young people age range 0-19 years and age range 0-25 years for disabled children and disabled young people and those with special educational needs. Families are understood in all their diversity of composition and formats. This fund is open to constituted and un-constituted not-for-profit groups, organisations, social enterprises and charities. Schools are also eligible to apply to this fund. What? The Alleviate programme will fund applications for time limited activities or projects which address at least one of the following four priority areas: The home learning environment Improved family relationships Transition from primary to secondary school Transition from secondary school. We particularly encourage applications for activities or projects which are for children and young people and families with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). How much funding is available? The budget for the programme is £19,700. The fund is open for applications between £1,000 and £3,000. What’s the timeline? Fund opens for applications: 4 September 2024 Deadline for applications: 12-noon 25 September 2024 Date when you’ll hear the result of your application: week beginning 14 October 2024 All funded projects must be completed by the end of July 2025.
