#HereForHaringey

We are delighted that our Haringey Giving Week campaign raised over £17,000. All funds from the campaign along with other money gifted throughout 2023 will support people in Haringey to improve their lives through the next round of the Together We Can programme. The grantees of Together We Can will be announced in the coming weeks.

Funds will support people in Haringey around three core priorities:

  • children and young people
  • mental health
  • skills and enterprise

We appreciate the support of local businesses, individuals, those who organised fundraisers, reposted, tagged and spread the word in any way possible. It was great to see the Haringey community get behind improving the lives of other people in Haringey.

A special thanks has to go out to our funding partners Linklaters LLP and the LHC Procurement Group, thanks to whom we were able to match all the funds gifted by the public. You can read about more the impact of Haringey Giving's partners here.

We would also like to thank Mayor of Haringey Cllr Lester Buxton and Haringey MPs Catherine West and David Lammy MP who got behind our campaign and our priorities and helped us reach wider audiences during Haringey Giving Week.

"Haringey Giving have changed the lives of tens of thousands of people in our borough. Their work includes opening up opportunities for young people, improving mental health and building confidence and skills for local entrepreneurs and businesses." David Lammy MP

We are also delighted that Alexandra Palace Young Creatives Network organised a fantastic musical fundraiser in the Marcus Garvey Library (more on this story soon) during the campaign. This was the third fundraising event  organised by the young creatives in 2023 who in total raised an amazing £472.70 during the year. The money from the event will improve the lives of young people and children in the borough through the programme.

This Haringey Giving Week we also partnered for the very first time with the local favourite Haringey Borough Women's Football Club. The club supported Haringey Giving on social media and HBWFC's football shirt was a highlight of our Community Expo raffle and contributed to the total funds raised.

We are hoping this is the beginning of a long-lasting partnership which will enable many more people in Haringey to improve their lives.

We are inspired by the response we have received this Haringey Giving Week and are already planning our next campaign which will start on 29 November 2024. If you would like to find out more about the impact the campaign has created in the borough so far read about it here.

Our campaign has finished but if you would like to support our work there are still many ways you can do so:
