Thank you very much to everyone who supported our Champions for Children Appeal. This enabled us to raise £10,010 for local projects supporting children and young people. Our generous partner, The Childhood Trust, matched all donations raised up to £10,000, between midday on 8th June and midday on 22nd June.

COVID-19 has had a disproportionate impact on children and young people. The effect has been particularly acute for those in lower income families, living in poor housing with limited access to green space. Our young people need support to recover and opportunities to thrive from a pandemic that has had such a detrimental impact on their physical and mental wellbeing, education and attainment and their social and emotional development.

Haringey Giving will use the funds raised to provide small grants of around £1,000 to groups supporting children and young people most impacted by the pandemic. Funds will be distributed through our next grant round, opening in September.

If you missed the campaign but would like to contribute towards projects supporting children and young people, you can still do so by donating to our general fund and inserting 'Children and young people' in the comment box. Many thanks for your support.
